Program details
The UK's Innovator Founder Visa replaced the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa in April 2023 with a fundamentally different approach. Rather than requiring a minimum investment amount, the program requires endorsement from an approved body for a business idea that is innovative, viable, and scalable.
This makes it accessible to entrepreneurs with strong concepts but limited initial capital. Family members can work and study freely in the UK.
The pathway to settlement is relatively fast: Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 3 years, with citizenship possible after 5 years. Applicants must demonstrate B1 English proficiency and pass the Life in the UK test.
Note: An Immigration Health Surcharge of GBP 1,035 per year applies to visa holders and their dependents.
