2025 updates significantly improved accessibility: the AED 1M down payment requirement was removed, and off-plan and mortgaged properties now qualify for the program. Maintaining status requires visiting the UAE once every 6 months.

Important: There is no practical path to UAE citizenship through investment. Traditional naturalization requires 30 years of residency and Arabic fluency, making the Golden Visa primarily a long-term residence solution rather than a citizenship pathway.
