Israel's Aliyah program offers immediate citizenship to individuals with Jewish ancestry or those who have converted to Judaism. Based on the Law of Return (1950), this is not a traditional investment program but rather an ancestry-based citizenship pathway.

Eligibility extends to anyone who is Jewish by birth, has at least one Jewish parent or grandparent, or has converted to Judaism through Orthodox, Conservative, or Reform movements. Spouses of eligible individuals can also obtain citizenship. The program requires no investment and instead provides financial support to new immigrants (Olim).

New citizens receive significant tax benefits, including a 10-year exemption on all foreign-source income. The absorption package (Sal Klita) provides approximately NIS 21,000 for singles and NIS 50,000+ for families over the first six months, plus rental assistance and free Hebrew language courses.

Processing typically takes 3-6 months, with expedited 30-day processing available for applicants from priority countries (France, UK, Canada, Australia) under the 2026 Nevertheless – Aliyah of Renewal initiative. The Israeli passport ranks 18th globally with visa-free access to approximately 165 countries including the Schengen area, UK, and Japan.
