Vanuatu is best known for one of the world's fastest citizenship by investment programs through the Development Support Program (DSP) and Capital Investment Immigration Plan (CIIP). The DSP requires a non-refundable USD 130K donation for a single applicant, with family packages available.

The CIIP requires USD 155K, including a USD 50K redeemable investment. Processing can be completed in as little as 30-60 days, the fastest globally.

However, in December 2024, the EU removed Vanuatu from its visa-exempt list, meaning Vanuatu citizens now require Schengen visas. The passport still offers visa-free access to approximately 90 countries including the UK, Russia, and various Asian nations.

Vanuatu has no personal income tax, no corporate tax, no capital gains tax, no withholding taxes, and no inheritance tax, making it one of the world's most tax-free jurisdictions. The country uses the Vanuatu vatu and the Australian dollar is widely accepted.

The economy relies on tourism, agriculture (copra, cocoa, beef), and the CBI program. Vanuatu is a South Pacific island nation with approximately 300,000 residents spread across 80+ islands.

While the Schengen visa loss has reduced passport value, Vanuatu citizenship remains attractive for its zero-tax environment, fast processing, and as a backup citizenship for privacy-conscious individuals.
