Turkey's Citizenship by Investment Program offers one of the most accessible routes to a powerful passport. The real estate route requires a minimum USD 400K investment in property (held for 3 years), while the capital investment route requires USD 500K in bank deposits, government bonds, or venture capital funds.
Processing typically takes 3-6 months. Turkish citizenship grants visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 110+ countries and, crucially, eligibility for the US E-2 Treaty Investor Visa, allowing Turkish citizens to live and work in the United States through business investment.
The YUVAM foreign currency deposit program was discontinued in 2025.
Turkey has a progressive income tax system ranging from 15% to 40% on income over TRY 1.9M . Capital gains on real estate held less than 5 years are taxed as income; securities gains are generally exempt for individuals.
Corporate tax is 25%. There is no wealth tax.
Inheritance tax ranges from 1-30% depending on relationship and value. Turkey offers a large domestic market of 85 million, strategic location bridging Europe and Asia, growing tech sector, and diversifying economy.
Despite currency volatility, real estate investments have historically maintained value in dollar terms. Turkey permits dual citizenship without restrictions.
